Even Spiderman likes high art
After a long lay off from not drawing, I needed to get back into the game. Motivated by a tour of Chelsea’s Art Galleries in NYC complete with an hour long speech by Edward Tufte at his gallery, I really wanted to do something to scratch that itch for drawing. There’s only so much abstract and deep thought sculpture one can witness in a single day.
With nary a minute to spare on my quest to finish some school projects, I came up with this drawing for a faux rpg title. My eyeballs are burning as I type and I couldn’t wait to be finished with this project. Yet it really highlighted how the intense pressure leads to a person getting so focused on what s/he’s doing. Still, I’d rather not have my back to the wall every time I need to bang out some art. Try not to get into that habit. :-/
It’s always nice to just go nuts in the art program of your choice and mess with things. But why are those red things shooting flashlight beams at the fake Gundam? Who knows…
Finally getting started on some personal and educational projects having to do with a long time yearning to create digital entertainment. It’s more fun than I thought it’d be but it’s also quite maddening at times. In the meantime, have a character portrait art!
Chromaengine is going through an overhaul right now and as you can see, things are a little dicey. Don’t worry, everything will fall into place soon however!
