KOF is boss!

Booya, king of fighters is back!

I just got started playing KOF XIII and now I’m hooked. Thank god because I was getting kind of tired of all the Street Fighting and was starting to fear that my days will be filled with nothing but endless hours of Skyriming. This time around KOF seems like the real deal, shit, it’s about damn time too, now I don’t have to reminisce about how awesome the old one’s were. I can now safely say they got past KOF 97.

It’s always nice to just go nuts in the art program of your choice and mess with things.  But why are those red things shooting flashlight beams at the fake Gundam?  Who knows…

Finally getting started on some personal and educational projects having to do with a long time yearning to create digital entertainment.  It’s more fun than I thought it’d be but it’s also quite maddening at times.  In the meantime, have a character portrait art!

Chromaengine is going through an overhaul right now and as you can see, things are a little dicey.  Don’t worry, everything will fall into place soon however!

Obsessed with comics? So are we!

Today was MoCCA’s awesome indie festival,  MoCCAfest!  It’s happening right now at the 69th Armory in Manhattan, New York.  There’s a small entrance fee of $12 but that fee is your gateway to some real awesome quality comic art.  Chromaengine headed off to the sea of the obsessed today to “check out the goods!”  It was real nice to see so many people there this time perusing the aisles, it shows that the art of comics is still of interest in a digital age of “flavor of the minute” entertainment.  So what did we find today?   READ MORE »

Hilarious how illustrators, animators and artists still don’t quite catch these things.  I can totally understand though, maybe they forgot to click off certain layers or they were just way too into what they were doing.  I make these kinds of mistakes all the time, still I find it funny to spot them from time to time.  Which makes me think, since having six fingers is a rare occurance in people…does that mean our friend the Colonel here in the context of the world of the X Men is infact a mutant?  Hmm…

It’s been quite a while since the last time I posted anything here.  Unfortunately I can’t disclose what I’m working on at the moment and I’ve also been super bogged down by classes.  Speaking of something that’s taken a while, did anyone else check out Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn?  First Gundam to be based in the Universal Century in quite a while and the first episode was brain combusting epic!

sariy2As of lately hard black shades have been calling to me, specifically to use as substitutes for secondary colors of course. As fun as it may seem using lots of black I got say there’s a very complicated science behind using them properly lighting being the most important. I’m going to see how far my experimenting goes, hopefully I will have mastered and tamed this beast sooner than later. For now here’s here’s a little doodle I diddled while experimenting, He’s a viking kid with a man and no name or shame coming to coming the plains over maine..err yeah
